Old Xian's Noodle House, Richmond: Experience Authentic Xi'an Noodles in BC

Very fast and friendly English speaking server. Loved my usual spicy beef biangbiang noodles in soup but the fried noodles were very oily. Would definitely visit again!

A friend recommended this place as she’s been here a few times. Food: 4/5 - their portions are a good size. If you’re not a big eater, you’ll have leftovers. We ordered the beef fried noodle and hot spicy noodle on braised beef noodle. The beef fried noodle was slightly on the greasy side and the spicy noodle could be kicked up a notch. You have a choice of 4 types of noodles of small noodles, thin noodles, hand-pulled or biang biang. If you love noodles this is the place to go. They also have burgers that are wrapped in a steam bun. service: 5/5 - their portions server was excellent. She often refilled our tea cups with a smile. She even recommended what type of noodle I needed with my order. Atmosphere: 4/5 - nice and welcoming place. They had a steady flow of customers during lunch.

Had the Lamb and Cumin Noodles, it was amazing! Their spicy cucumber appetizer was a surprise hit! Our server Liz was very helpful and cheerful! She answered all our questions about the menu.

I liked Xi'an food much. It was good to have authentic Xi'an food in Vancouver. Food was quite good. You can buy the combo meal with 2 meat dishes and 1 veggie dish for surprising discount. Highly recommended.

We had one of the most pleasant Chinese restaurant experience ever at this place. Aunty who was serving was super friendly and knowledgeable, the quality that more restaurants should adapt. She was really attentive, and friendly. Food however was the true star of the restaurant. We aren’t experts when it comes to Chinese noodles especially Xian. However this is one of the noodles that everyone should try at least once in my opinion. Thick and wide noodle will give you texture that you will fall in love with, if you are a fan of noodles. Splendid portion size and value for the price. These qualities make this place a must try restaurant. Two thumbs up!

Really, really good food. Better than a lot of the other highly rated restaurants in Richmond. Excellent value. Food is very generously spiced. Noodle texture is excellent. Service has been nice both times I've been here.

I’m so curious about Xian-style food, and I finally found my answer: “Very good!” I really liked the crispy sweet and sour pork. It’s similar to Korean tangsuyuk, but the batter made with sticky rice flour makes it even crunchier. The hot spicy oil on beef noodles (biang biang)are a great choice for anyone who isn’t ready for cumin or other strong spices.

I was just planning on getting noodles but the discount over $15 was too good to resist. So I got a pork burger as well since it would just be a couple bucks more after the discount, versus getting a different noodle dish with meat. And boy was that a great decision. I was planning to eat both together but the burger was so good I ate it all before the noodles even came out. I even got another noodle dish for free. The only con is that I ate sooo much for less than $20, so I will definitely come back and gain weight
